I've spent my career with my hands on motorcycles and my head in the data behind them. I studied Motorcycle (Mechanical) Engineering at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and graduated with a BEng, focusing on vehicle dynamics and performance. My dissertation, developed with the National Trust and PACTS (the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety), modelled motorcycle braking performance, including tyre–road interaction and aerodynamics, to improve rider safety.

Alongside my degree I worked as a race technician in British Superbikes (BSB), doing tyre work and mechanical repairs in the paddock, where there's no room for guesswork. When a clutch failed between race rounds, the job was to diagnose it and get the bike back out in the time available, and that's the standard I hold Rev-on to.

In a busy motorcycle workshop I became the lead technician for BSA servicing and diagnostic work across a wide range of motorcycles, and in aftersales I spent my days diagnosing problems and explaining them clearly to customers. I've also worked as a graduate mechanical design engineer.

Across all of it I saw the same problem: riders struggling to find someone they trust, chasing quotes and waiting weeks, while good independent mechanics struggled to fill their diaries. Rev-on fixes both. Every job gets a fair, fixed quote set by someone who knows what the work involves, and every mechanic is checked, insured and accountable to reviews.
